..............I was just notified yesterday by Cimarron that a new barrel was on the way, and I was to ship my rifle to a guy in Texas.

MOVEMENT! Yeehaw!

Hey Buckshot;
I bumped into an old shooting buddy at the gun show last w/e. A SASS cowboy.
He just got one of those Uberti's in 38-55 and asked me to make him some boolets.
Is there anything in particular that I should look out for w/Uberti?
I've experience w/2 Winnies, old and new.
Thanks for your expertise.

Ray - Yep! With a 330gr bullet, the Rams drop nicely at 500m [smilie=1:
And be careful handling the rifle. Here's the wood on my Deluxe DST model ...

I almost had an orgasm when I opened the box! Was told by Bob Taylor at Cimarron - he's never seen a better piece of walnut come into the US.

That is the same gunsmith that re-barreled my friends Uberti.

His come back with a barrel that shoots, and hard to tell it was re-barreled.

Took about 4 months from ******** to finished, shipped.

So far the service was Good enough, just at Italy's pace.

...............4060MAY, I'm pleased to hear it will be going to the same guy.

...............Pepe Ray, there was nothing odd in reloading for the Uberti. Pretty much just the standard deal. Slug it and seat the boolit to touch the lands and if it's going to shoot, it will. I've seen one and heard of a couple others that shot very well.
