Hello all,

I've cast and coated a number of these. They are weighing 266 grains, coated. Like the looks of them and want to load for .44mag and .44spl from a 29-2. Can't find load data using any powder that I currently have on hand. NOE site lists a few loads using VihtaVuori powders - I have none.
I do have Unique, Titegroup, 2400, 296, 4227, Vectan A1, and a few rifle powders.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks in advance.

If crimped in the crimping groove, you have a lot of lead sticking into the case, nearly a 10th of inch more than a 429-244, if I did the math in my head right. I'd use data from the Speer Manual for their 270 grain JSP-rnfp as a basis for my experimentation. I'd start with 15.0 grains of 2400 and work up to an absolute max of 18.0 grains in the 44 magnum. With 296, I'd start at 18.5 and stop at 19.5 grains.
In the 44 Spl. I'd load a max of 6.9 grains of Unique.

A chronograph is your friend here, you would like to be able to see your speeds closely resemble what they got with a similar charge.
