Lost my best friend and father today

My father Joe passed away this morning. He was 99 and still living and driving on his own. Last Tuesday his hip broke when he stood up and he was hospitalized for that.

We shared the same interests and views. We were best friends. He was an amazing man and a wonderful father.

Due to the blizzard I was not able to get to Hazen until Saturday but we did get to spend Saturday and Sunday together. Anyone that knew him was aware he was not fond of cold weather so memorials and internment will be at the end of May.

So very sorry to read about the loss of your Father. I've been there myself, having lost mine in 1995 at the age of 81. Eventually the pain of the loss will diminish, but the memories never will. Best wishes.

We lost both my father and father-in-law in 1982. Father-in-law was only 65. My father was 75. Hard work wore a lot of men out early and inherited genes took care of the rest.

M-Tec, I did hot see you post until today and I can tell you that I am so sorry for your loss. My dad has been gone since 1999 and I still miss him! I do tell people that I you listen to your heart that your dad will still be there to guide you down your path! Once again, I am so sorry for your loss! Paul
