If ever there was a case for casting as many boolits as possible, it is NOW! In 2022 world copper prices are soaring toward $12,800 per tonne, a rise of almost 300% in the last few years.

Untimately, the price of shooting products, jacketted boolits, cartridge cases and even primers will also rise. With lead in the form of type metal, solder etc. becoming harder to find, also rising steadily, one should look forward and stock up!

If primers/powder prices and availability do not improve, bullets will be the least concern for those who have not prepared.

Tin and nickel has shot up in price also. I'm sitting good, except for some molds. Being newer to casting, I'm still searching.

I have all the molds I need for what I shoot and I have a bunch of wheel weight lead smelted into ingots. Two milk crates stacked neat and full about 4 rows higher than the height of the crates in each. I don't know how many pounds that equates to. I've never taken the time to figure it out. I do know they aren't gonna blow away anytime soon. haha

I don't know if this has been posted before, but Rotometals has foundry type for a fair price. High content of antimony and tin.

Absolutely. I have been shocked what some are paying for lead over on some reloading groups on Facebook. $2+ for run of the mill lead. I can still pick up clean ingots at my scrap yard for $.40-$.50 lb. WW are $.25 I believe. There's no unlimited supply, but he usually has some. Up until now I only go for the good stuff. Solder, tin, pure lead, and linotype. I think I will start buying everything.
