I have shown my .357 Flattop with the original walnut grips. I think it looks great in ivory as well.

I really like ivory. Too bad it's so hard to enjoy them anymore. So, when I see this kind of picture,, I SMILE a lot!
Nice!

Very nice. Like the lanyard ring. If my life was depending on a sidearm, I'd want a lanyard on it. (-:}

It really sets of the single actions. I did this years ago with a .357 Blackhawk.

Unfortunately, mine are faux ivory.

All nice ones for sure.
American Holly is a close "copycat" material to get the look of ivory.

I remember when the Flat Top was introduced, and I wanted one in the worst way. I have many other classic pistols but this one is special. The Flat Tops you guys have shown look just as good.

I have Mastodon Ivory on my 1956 flattop . I'll have to get my son to take some pictures that I can post. Mine are clear with no odd colors , streaks or cracks. Pretty much look like Elephant Ivory but Mastodon and Mammoth Ivory is not regulated and strangely is usually cheaper.

I also did Simulated Ivories on my ca. 1960 .22 Mag-only Ruger Single-Six, with a Ruger-fitted .22LR cylinder in a box I made

Mastodon's and Mammoth's are not endangered species being hunted for their ivory. Since they are already extinct - no controls.
