I would like you guys to give me a list of the qualified people that hollow point molds. I have seen hollowpointmold.com but there is another guy named buckshot I think and I can't find anything on him. Seabat,

You can contact Buckshot (his member handle) via Private Message (PM). I am not sure that there are other members doing hollow pointing of molds.

I have his work and it is excellent!

Just go to search thread and type in buckshot. Doesn't matter which thread you pick oput just click on his name and get the PM file then follow instructions to make contact.

A word of warning: Buckshot has very "Flexible" hours and as such you'll get response's in the wee hours of the night and not in the day time!

Work is good and he's prompt! No long waits which most of us really like!

seaBat0603. I have had at least a dozen moulds converted to hollow point by Buckshot and he does excellent work. At present, he charges $28 per mould and can do SC, DC or 4 cavity Lyman, Saeco or RCBS and Lee 6 cavity moulds (only 1 hp conversion per mould) plus $9.50 shipping for 5 or more moulds. Less if you send in 1-4 moulds. He also charges $3 extra for additional pins if you want a non hp set up or a different style pin. In all the moulds he has done for me he only buggered up one mould and went way beyond to correct it so I have nothing but praise for his work and would highly recommend him.

I just got a mould hollow-pointed by him, and I got four different shape and size spuds. He does excellent work.

He's also not very expensive. I heartily endorse his work!

I can't comment directly on Buckshot's work as I have never even handled a mould that he's converted, but I have seen a number of photos of his work and they all have looked beautiful! And his prices sound very friendly.

I can, however, comment on the quality of of Erik's work (www.hollowpointmold.com). Erik has done over half a dozen moulds for me, and they have all been excellent. Like Buckshot, he uses a collar/pin arrangement that allows the caster to adjust the pin depth, or use different pins, to make a variety of HP configurations. In every case, the HP cavities have been perfectly centered, and the bullets have shot very well for me.

Erik has also repaired an old Cramer HP mould for me, and his repair work was superb.

But the mould that I am really worked up over is the RCBS .44-300-GC SWC mould that he converted to 2-cavity Cramer-style HP for me. This style of mould allows one to cast up a pile of HP's very quickly, and boy do these 297 grainers shoot nicely out of my Ruger SBH! This just might be the perfect handgun hunting bullet. I don't know of anybody else who is offering this kind of conversion.

Here is a picture of my mould that I lifted off of his website (this bullet is going hog hunting in a little over a month):

Now that's a neat solution to the problem of fiddling with hot hollow point inserts!
It looks as if you don't have to let go of the mallet when casting with this one.
