Just that. Subsonic loads for a Contender 1:10 twist.

150 grain, 200, 220. What I need is a starting point.

TIA

Here is some interesting Contender related 32-20 discussion.

I never had much luck accuracy-wise with the heavy boolits in my 10" T/C 32/20. Mine topped out at 130 gr. but by far the best accuracy came from my Lee soup-can 113 gr mold at 1300 fps. I got such good performance in terminal ballistics tests with that boolit (both in penetration, expansion, and wound channel) that I decided it would work just fine on small deer (up to 125# live weight) out to 50 yards or a little more. It tested so well that when I started to run a little short on the right primers recently that I redeveloped my 30/30 10" T/C barrel to do the same ballistics but with a 130 gr boolit from the nice MP mold. I have used 2400, 4198, and even Bullseye for powders in the 32/20 or Red Dot in the 30/30. The load may seem light with the 30/30 but the recoil is so pleasant that it is a joy to shoot hence the accuracy.

I hope you enjoy that 32/20 as much as I have for many years. Any coyote under 150 yards that stood still long enough for my old eyes to focus on the iron sights was in serious jeopardy with that Lee boolit. Of all my Contender barrels, it has been my favorite for walking around in the desert.
