Welcome & congratulations on your move!

I'd like to give you some homework. Before I joined I read all these links and read every post from beginning to end in the forum . I don't expect you or anyone else to do that. It took me a good amount of time, but these links will get you started & help you understand the science of the hobby.

Welcome Foxylady. Hope you enjoy this site. I have been casting and reloading for over 60 years. I didn't realize how much I didn't know. There are a lot of VERY smart members here who share their knowledge. No such thing as a dumb question when you are learning something new. May you enjoy the adventure.

Oh no don't even consider it !!!!!!!!
Shot is more fluid when passing through the choke of the barrel .

Welcome! Pretty good bunch around here. If you need help, yell.

If you take it a bit systematically, read all the stickies, chew through the long posts.
IMO after a year or 2 your basically looking at having acquired a masters degree worth of knowledge.

Of course you don't get the piece of paper to hang on your wall. But you know what you know. And knowledge can not be taken away from you.
So no matter what happens down the road you always have a bargaining point.

Loading rocks and nails and everything else imaginable in shotguns has been done. But, I think most of that was cylinder bore muzzleloader guns. They are more forgiving. I’ve not heard of gravel in modern guns, is that what you referenced Foxy?

A one off with rocks and nails seems doable, might add some rock salt too!

Desperate times call for desperate measures I reckon.
