Not finding much data on 303 Brit 160-165 gr gas checked bullet . I have great results with IMR4895 but also got I 4064 , H4360 , I 4198 , I 3031 , A 2520, H335 , N140 to pick from . But 4895 and the 4064 are my favorite ones .

I have shot IMR 4064 in the 303 but found it works better with jacketed than cast. IMR 4198 if one of my favorites, I use around 20 grains and a dacron filler for that weight range.

I have never used any filler except if loading Black powder cartridges this would be pretty new for me in that area .

25 of imr 4198 with a 180 grain boolit has shown promise for me.

Did you use any filler with your load ? I have been casting for Black powder cartridges and front stuffers for quite awhile and just couple years getting to doing it for my smokeless stuff . I know some smokeless powders do fill a case more then others but right know as we all know it can be pretty hit and miss as to what's on the shelf if any !!!!

28.5gn of 3031 with a 190gn cast boolit (P14) produced this 100yd group. For my 1901 vintage LE's I reduced the load to 26gns. The 303 rifles have twists of 1:10 and are more suited to the heavier boolits1

I forgot to say I am shooting a No4 Mk1 Longbranch . I get real good accuracy so far with 150gr soft point / .311" and also 180gr FMJ pulled bullets / .312" . Seems even with the factory stuff I bought before started reloading it shot good . My 1905 Ross is another matter . Over the counter ammo it hated . Needed a bigger bullet . It shoots good but can't remember the load I have for it but it is not the same as for my Longbranch

Mk111 of 1917. Had it for a long time. Plastic sporting stock and Williams ghost thingy with a high vis front. A total bubbajob but good on small or larger plates at 100yds. 11.8 gr of Unique and great 180gr. ? from a boollet guy that sells in a LGS. Lucky for me.
