Anybody else using bullets from it? How fast can I reasonably expect to push them from a 10" barrel AR handgun? I was going to buy 147gr jacketed bullet pulls, but "have lead, will cast" (coww), that for those who remember Paladin. They will be Hi-Tek coated. I doubt that I'll be able to push them fast enough for velocity to be a problem for the coating. Is 1800fps unrealistic? Generally I get a few hundred fps lower than a 16" barrel. Of course accuracy also counts.

TIA

:goodpost: LIKE !

1800 fps w/ 10" barrel .... Maybe .
1600 fps more than likely ... But Cha never know till you Choot Em' !
HTC may give it the edge .
Go for it ... I like your Boolit Choice for the project .

Thanks. I've had my eye on that mould for some time now. It arrived today. I cast outside with a propane burner so now waiting on decent weather. I have so many projects in the works and only 24 hours in a day!

Should get about 1750 (4227 load 10" pistol). I use a different mould but it shoots great - it is GCd. For PB I'd start down about 1500. I did get 2k fps (18" 1:10 carbine, PB and really HARD alloy) with HiTek but PC is much easier so I don't hitek anymore.
