Bought the steel frame at Rural King and put 2x6 Illinois white oak on it. I hope this fills the gap between the ATV and a pickup truck.

We have lots of dead ash trees to cut up and put in the shed.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220314/b214d3bf451024e984951ec3f1ec9be9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220314/c0790d202b399cb11bc818eada07cd5d.jpg

Great job! A tailgate that doubles as a short ramp might also be helpful for some types of work.

Looks great and it will be handy to have!

Years ago, we made a similar type carrier for the 3 point hitch on an old Ford 8N we had. It was real handy for a lot of tasks on the farm and I hauled a lot of cords of split firewood out of the woods to the house with it. Also used ours to haul fence building supplies when we needed to patch a fence, etc.

I have a 3point bale carrier that I put a pallet on for similar things. Works well, especially in places I don't want to take my pickup.

Growing up on the farm, we always had a small tractor with a "box" on the 3pt hitch. It was used (by us boys many times) to haul corn silage to our cows in winter, do fencing jobs in the summer, and all kinds odd jobs year round. Ours was literally built in a box configuration with a removable tail gate. They do come in very handy! Long before we had a drivers license we where allowed to take the tractor with the box on fishing and camping expeditions as well!
