This video is very interesting and educational. Thank you for posting it.
I would urge anyone interested in casting and interested in the history of lead and silver and the old west to watch it.

Here is the video from the guy who actually did the work. It is a lot more comprehensive. This gives you a real appreciation for those in the early years that used to do this without all the modern perks we have now, like modern blower fed propane furnaces!

Interesting info, and good timing. There was a "Silver Rush" in my area (northeast MA, southeast NH). in the mid 1870s. One mine was worked in the 1920s. I've located a few of the mining locations, and I'm researching the mining process and the legal aspects of mining rights.
