So seen this asked alot dealing with me shooting cast out of my AR.
"It's gonna plug the gas tube"
" But what about the gas tube "
Well finally went and tooke my AR apparent last night,for.....reasons , idk I get bored at 2a.m and do stuff like this lol ! Anyhow here's my gas tube after probably 4-500rd of PC 19-21bhn gas checked lee .225 sized .22cals and well

Other then the carbon from never cleaning this upper down to this degree looks perfectly fine, blew though it and everything

Did you look at the tail of the bolt? Also check the depth of the tube into the bolt. Crud piles up there.

Even if PC was getting shaved by the port and going into the gas tube I would think 50k PSI would blow it all the way through the system.

I have thousands of powder coated rounds down the pipe of my 300 HAM'R and almost that many down a 358 win. AR -10 so far not a problem but haven't dissembled the gas system either other than the normal cleaning of the bolt ,still running smooth .

AR15 Carbine length gas port pressure is about 26K PSI, Mid length about 21K. It's not chamber pressure but it's more than your average air compressor.

Any deposits of lead, lube or coatings I have found in my ARs are always on the back of the bolt, behind the gas rings. Thousands of rounds of cast through the .450B and never once had to clean the gas tube beyond what any AR gas tube needs occasionally.
