I started casting this 120 grain in 3030 as a light recoil load for my son getting him used to shooting this rifle. And this little bullet has proven to be extremely accurate at 100 yards groups ranging from 1 inch to and 1-3/4 inches. I even stepped it out i was shooting an 18 inch steel plate at 300 yards making it ring shot after shot although it required 12 to 14 inches of elevation. the firearm is a topper 158 single shot with a 4 x 32 Tasco scope, the round is 120 Grain lee RN with nine grains of green dot297314297315

You done good . Keep it up and a good way to get someone use to shooting and not worry about the recoil.

Makes me think I need to get a lighter boolit for my light loads. I cast and shoot 170's in everything .30cal. from subsonic to full house.

Nice load! Was that 12 to 14 inches of elevation after the scope was maxed out? We usually measure 300 yard holdover in feet…

Not Sure how much adjustment was left but I did not make an adjustment to the scope I just watched where my previous rounds landed and healed over

Nice job!!! And that is good shooting for a light rifle with only a 4x scope on it. It is too bad primers are so expensive. Should make a great training load for your boy.

I've also discovered the joy of shooting these light bullets in my 1894. I use either the Lyman 311576 or 311359. Both work equally well with a modest charge of Red Dot. Great Fun!!
