Prayers Requested for Betty

My mother-in-law, Betty, will be leaving the personal care home and moving in with us a week from today. The PC home recommended hospice care, and we are looking into it. She is 95 years old, and getting progressivly weaker. Her husband, my wife's dad, died about five years ago. Please keep us all in your prayers. Thanks.

Father, I come to You to please give Betty comfort, freedom from pain, and freedom from fear as she transitions into Wayne's home from her assisted home living. Help them to dwell on the great times they have shared. Please also be with Wayne and his wife as they learn how to deal with Betty's condition and the associated problems she is suffering from. AMEN!

May God be with her; may he help everyone to understand he is present and in control regardless of the situation. Father, we ask strength for Wrideout and his Wife while they do the work of caring for their loved one. We ask your presence in their home during this time of transition and the days to come, for her comforts and rest as she moves from one place to another..

My brother-in-law accompanied my wife and I to the care home today to meet the nurse who evaluated Betty for home care, and start moving some of her belongings. We feel very comfortable hiring this agency for home care, and we will bring Betty to our house this Sunday. I feel fortunate to have this opportunity to care for a lovely woman in her old age.

We moved Betty to our home today. She is resting on the sofa, and just finished watching an old movie. She seems happy. I feel much better now that she is in our care. Thanks everybody.

Betty seems to have settled in to her new home. We have several aides to help us, and my wife Betsy is learning to give nursing care (she was a social worker.) Betty eats much better now, and appears to be gaining some strength. The grandchildren and great-grandchildren visit more often, and this seems to cheer her up quite a bit. Thanks for the prayers, guys.
