I have found numerous "inside primed" 45 Colt cases with my metal detector, it only makes sense that they would have some 45-70 cases from the same era primed in the same way. Interesting stuff, thanks for sharing.

Interesting. I'd never seen those before, or didn't know what I was looking at.

I guess that was a early generation of what our modern primers evolved from.
