I see a lot of threads asking the same questions over and over. Does anyone use the useful data at the bottom of the forum opening page?

Due to the variation in mold cavity and a wide range of production it does not have much use for me personally. Then add in the scrap lead sources, that introduces another variable. Checking the weight of the casting from a new mold is about all that I feel is necessary and back off the max if the casting is a little heavy.

This reference is in the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook, 3rd edition as well as "expected casting diameter based on alloy" chart.
