I bought a 1891 Argentine Calvary carbine the short one about 3ft. 7.65x53 The front nose cap/sight guard is missing , I looked everywhere for one . Does anyone know where I could get one? Thanks iskoda

Sarco and Numrich have had parts for them in the past. Also it never hurts to look on eBay and a number of gunstock providers will keep an assortment of hardware for the furniture they are peddling.

I couldn't find one online just now. But they don't look too awful hard to make if one can't be found. There is an Engineers Carbine muzzle cap available to get general dimensions from.

You might try Jerry at Recon Ordnance. He bought a lot of those rifles with out any stocks, and had new wood made for them, and put them back together.
He sells a lot of military stuff.
