Here is a group of six shots I fired yesterday afternoon at 40 yds using the barrel sights on an El Tigre “44 Largo” (44-40) 1892 copy, which I believe was made in the 1920’s. Starline cases, Win LP primer, John Kort’s great 43-215C boolit @12 BHN, lubed with my home brew recipe, over 8.5 grains WW231. Group is about 15/16” center to center; I was resting over the hood of my truck.

I fired the one sighter shot, then adjusted the sights a bit and fired the remaining six without checking the target. My eyes have gotten pretty bad with age and I had some trouble seeing the front sight on the target - needless to say, I was pleased with the results.

It never ceases to amaze me how accurate some of these old guns are.

Bravo Zulu! My El Tigre does about the same with that bullet cast 1 to 40 tin-lead with 18.5 grains of IMR4227. Great deer load where legal.
