Is it just my imagination or does the foul weather make you feel like a herd of buffalo stomped you into the ground.I swear if I was in a room with no windows and not watching the weather on TV. I would be able to tell you if it's going to rain! Oh I forgot I'm old.

Oh yeah.

Lots of older people can predict the weather by the differences in their aches & pains.

I think we have a built in barometer, and the pressure changes in the air effect us.
People that get a lot of headaches are especially sensitive to the weather changing.

I used to laugh at the old guys who said "I can feel it in my bones"

I no longer laugh. Those guys were right.

It’s got to do with barometric pressure. Or should I say the sudden change in barometric pressure associated with fronts coming in. Your body is 98% water how could a sudden change in barometric pressure not affect you!

I believe it!

Heck, I've gotten so big, I think I also have tidal currents going on too.

Oh yeah I feel it! Sinuses especially but the spine arthritis and bad knees really chime in...lately right hand too

Bad knees let me know. My wife has RA and her hands and back knows there is a change coming.

If I am imagining things, I have a pretty vivid imagination. But I do bounce pretty good also. No one said the lumps just keep adding up, though.

The effects of falling barometric pressure, wear and tear and old age.

I feel your pain.

A long time ago, a friend of a friend was one of those older Washington NFL football players.
Someone asked him one time when he knew it was time to retire.

He told them it was when you were still too sore to get out of bed from the last game,
when it was time to suit up for the next one.

All my old injuries let me know days in advance of a weather front coming in.

I am a human barometer and not in a good way. Between neck, back, joints, arthritis, hands, and every other damn body part that can hurt, I feel any change in the weather. Daily headaches too. Lucky me but still better than most. My GF is also suffering now. Matter of fact she took two Excedrin at 4:30 this morning. We have some very light snow showers but it's the change in pressure.

My "weather knee" is pretty accurate.

The titanium plate in my neck chimes in too on weather changes...

Some places around here have had up to 28 inches of rain in just 3 days with 6 killed. I wear I saw Noah's ark on the horizon yesterday! Awfull wet to be sure.

I'm glad to still be alive to feel some aches & pain. Lot of my friends aren't so lucky. Tylenol is your friend, along with a snort of schnapps.
The cold really gets to me now. The heat of summer just bakes the aches right out of my bones.
An old timer once said that when the temperature is below your age, it's cold. Now I know what he was talking about. I just count my blessings and burn some more cordite!

I guess we are paying for our living. Aches and pains sure beats the alternative

I used to laugh and laugh at people that said those kinds of things. It was great fun.

Then I got old. And the joke was on me.
