I purchased one a couple weeks ago thinking my 44 year old 10 lbs Lee pot won't last much longer, but it still works. I know some hate them for the constant drip, but so far I like it. All I can say is, what took me so long...lol. I run about 12 Lbs of alloy and had two moulds going, the 3 cavity Noe 460-315 and the Lee 452- 255 rF. The Noe stays hot so long I have about 20 seconds for the spru to harden and gives plenty of time for the other. So far so good with this pot, never dripped once... but I will keep an eye out for it.

do you know what temp you are running your melt?
20 sec for spru to harden sounds a bit long

Need to invest in a PID. 20 seconds is like 15 seconds longer then it should be.

Anyone have a link to a cheap but affective PID for the guy?

After things settled down a bit my boolits were looking great, not frosted as if they were too hot. Had the knob set at the 6 point, I realize it’s not an indication of actual temperature.

forum vendor HATCH makes and sells PIDs. Reports are positive, but I built my own before I saw his. So I have no hands-on experience. My home built PID has way more options than we need for our purposes. If I had to do over I'd probably buy one from HATCH.

I purchased a PID from HATCH for my very old 10lb Lee "dripper". I started using it last week. Very happy with it.
