ran across a decent deal on a Browning b78 that is missing it's wood..
Any ideas on where to get replacements ?

Excuse the butt in; but the B78 uses a pistol grip stock and the later 1885 uses a straight grip stock. At least I think that's right.....

That's almost correct - only B-78's in .45-70 had a straight grip stock

All B-78 forends had a slight schnobble tip..

I would like to find-just like factory supplied wood.
Nothing super fancy .. I looked a bit and pretty much gave up.
Now I know why the barreled action was so cheap..The current owner couldn't find anything either.
