I have several scopes from 4X fixed to 3-9x40 to mount on a new Henry SS .357. What height rings are you using?

Is there a scope base that will clear the rear factory sight? Does the factory rear sight drift out l to r or vice versa?

Thanks

Something about a scope on a fairly short range single shot or lever action is just wrong.
However; if you insist:

The scope itself should determine the height of the rings.
I mount my scopes as close to the barrel as I dare, and still see light under the objective end.

When I changed to fire sights on my Henry .22, the originals drifted out from right to left as you looked from the rear,
which is opposite of about everybody else's in the industry.
You might want to call them and double check. They'll know right off the top of their head.
Or, gently tap them in both directions.
The sight will tell you when you're going the wrong direction.

But the sights might be low/small enough that you can't see them in the scope anyway.
I'm not sure how it works, but I had iron sights on a Remington 700 that stuck up in front of the scope,
but you couldn't see them by looking through the scope.

Medium height work but you will need that cocking aid that attaches to the hammer. I have a 4x Weaver on my .44 and it is a joy to plink with.
