How come nobody makes a swc (hg68 style),,with lube grooves?

Prolly because the .40 S&W was made for self protection and not for bullseye shooting. The SWC boolit was designed to make nice crisp holes in paper targets to make scoring more precise.

The accurate 150 sec is a very accurate bullet. As soon I get some money together that is my next mold

There is such a animal. I’ve shot many 155 swc that look like a scaled down hg68.

There are several SWC designs out there. Just depends on what you want to spend. Look at Accurate Molds catalogue. If you cant find what you want, he will adapt a design for you.

There USED TO BE .40 cal. cast 175 gr. LSWCs for sale in any decent reloading shop. Someone HAD to have made molds for them. Apparently, the fact that the .40 S&W was defensive round and not a target round did not impress whomever was turning out the molds.
At that point, I could do nothing about casting, and just bought and used them, by the 1000s. Then I went back to .45 for no known reason, and my interest in reloading .40 S&W sorta waned.
Missouri Bullet Co. and Rim Rock Bullets both offer 155 gr. and 170 gr. LSWCs in .40/10mm, though there may be a bit of lag time associated with getting them. In any case, unless both companies made their own molds for exactly the same bullet weights, someone is supplying them. Perhaps you could ask.

A Lyman 401043 is a .401 flat nose, 175 gr bullet originally designed for 38/40 winchester rifle. It feeds the best in various 40's that I shoot and is accurate as well.
