I am thinking about a buying a Bursa Thunder 45 Ultra Light cause the price is right for my budget. My brother in law has a Bursa 380 and loves it. My question to you all is will the polygon barrel hold up well to cast boolits? My other options are a Ruger P90 (backorderd everywhere and priced up recently) or a Rock Island 1911, also got pricier lately. Trying to find a .45 that I can get 2 of for around $800 (or less) after the FFL transfer fee so my brother in law and I will have matching guns. I am partial to the stainless versions. Any input would be appreciated. I have two friends that I have begun to reload .45s for and I figure I might as well have one too. I have a Lee 200 gr RF mold.

Reloading .223, 25-06, 30-06, 7.62x39, 9mm, .40 S&W and .45. Cast in all but the first 2.

I have a Bersa MiniFirestorm 45 and it feeds anything I want to feed it including SWC accurate to intended purpose 15/20 yds as the 2.25" barrel was never ment to be a target shooter. From 3/15 yds will put them in the X and 10 ring mostley the X but I am not that good with a pistol.

OK, I hit the gunshop and held some Ultra Compacts as well as 1911s. I am a tall guy and the ultras were too small for my grip (fingers felt pinched). Looking at the American Classic Deluxe 1911 or Rock Island Tactical 1911. The Rock Island is $40 more ($399 plus transfer). Or, do I go with another Hi Point? I really like my 40 S&W. The .45 is really affordable as well ($130 plus transfer!!!). Any thoughts? I am leaning towards the 1911s simply because of the availability of parts and track record.

+1 on the 1911. Something to be said about 100 years in existance and still nothing better.
