Should copper jackets be annealed?

I acquired a bunch of copper jackets and I want to know if I should anneal them or not. I have always used casings in the past. I was worried annealing might damage them.

Use them as is, no need to anneal them.

Jackets from the factory requires no annealing. Jackets made from home are required.
