Not weird at all, a BP rifle is not considered a firearm to the feds, so the silencer doesn't need to have a stamp.

Good grief. Is there no end to what idiocy someone can come up with?

They have silencers on air rifles, now, from what I've heard. Why not? Not that I'm going to rush right out and buy one...

The Silencerco Maxim 50 came out in 2017. Guy on another forum I'm on hunts with one. Not my cup of tea, but he likes it.

I hope that it is "dishwasher safe"!
It seems that blavkpowder fouling would be rough on a suppressor.

We know all that. It just seems like it would create more problems than it's worth. I have some mufflers on air guns and they are great for urban pesting. I am not anti suppressor.

Ever since Michigan has allowed suppressors for hunting I have used them. Figure I'm deaf enough already and I don't like ear muffs if I don't have to. I will not buy one of these though. There's a tube you have to use in order to load it with the suggest BH209 powder and you can only use projectiles that aren't going to leave anything in the suppressor, so no PRB or sabot.

I am not anti suppressor. Not suggesting you are anti anything. Gun manufacturers are always looking to sell their products some of which are for a niche audience. I don't have any real silencers only on my air rifle but can understand the draw. Many new products seemingly cause more problems than they solve, such as smokeless powder in muzzle loaders, but there are some that will exploit the loopholes and that's ok.

Now that's what I call traditional muzzleloading! People will be climbing over each other to get one of those so they can be the first to show up at Rendezvous with one! What's next? A muzzleloading AR?

Nahhhhh - Them AR's lend themselves to Break Action, single round, Breech Loading.
