This might be the right forum, might not be, 50/50 chance
What I'm looking for is a listing(s) of definitive reference books on various firearm manufacturers. I've got some books which deal with S&W, Winchester, Marlin, Mauser and others, but I've not found much that deals with Savage.
So, what is your go to reference material and for what particular brand?

I have among others the following:
1. The Pattern 1914 and U.S. Model 1917 Rifles By Charles R. Stratton
2. The Remington Historical Treasury of American Guns By Harold L. Peterson
3. The Ninety-Nine , A Historyof the Savage Model 99 Rifle By Douglas P. Muray
4. The S&W Revolver, A Shop Manual By Jerry Kohnhausen
This is just part of what I have but they can get you started.
Take Care and good reading, james

If you don’t already have a copy, Cartridges of the World is a good reference book.
