Well, Christmas is past ;), and I got the chance to read TWO new books, one each on the M1 Carbine and the M1 Garand. Put out by Guns of The World, my first impression was that they were a language translation from French to Anglo, with a reprint of already-printed photos. However, now that I've had a bit of time to explore/read them -- I am (hard for me ;)) impressed!
The photos are gorgeous and imho show new collections with gear and the like I've no recollection of viewing prior to this. Both are hard cover, and have made a positive addition to my wee collection of books on these two arms. A site reviewing them, with photos, is at https://www.alloutdoor.com/2021/10/14/alloutdoor-review-m1-carbine-book/ . Mine came vis an on-line seller (Abe's Books) quite quickly.294004294005
NOT a popular item -- e.g., as opposed to say, the War Baby series on the carbine -- I thought fellow Carbine and Garand aficionados might have interest in these.
