New mould from a member here. I have around 200 new Starline cases and 80ish fired cases. My boys are helping me out with their berm mining operations.
(Yep, I have oodles of lead ready for smelting, but hey - a truer start to finish project has yet to be devised!!).
Tomorrow - a little steel from the trapdoor. Yes, it may be -25° but I'm sure I have to be building character!!!!???? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220101/7b21e1147bfe18734129c6babc3d00d7.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220101/8d316597fb348a75a13f9271e7e3e7f6.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220101/1b6320c31e370af4795d818c74af5c8e.jpg

The big and slow aspect makes for a fun cartridge. Anything over 100 yards, you can pull the trigger and have enough time to say "WAAAAAAAAIT for it" before impact. There's also enough time for the muzzle blast to dissipate that you can hear those impacts. It's a smile-maker.

Well, we're through with 125! As well as a handful of 44 American and couple of experiments for the 401 WSL. It was a nice way to spend New Year's Eve.

p.s. WOW do you burn through a lot of range scrap when you're making 50 caliber boolits!!!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220101/95a61311d15376d67e61c1006ed34298.jpg

Wait until you try a 4 cavity .735" ball mold, about 580 grains each. Every 3 shots is a pound of lead. You spend 30 minutes warming stuff up, 5 minutes casting until you drain a 20 pound pot, then 15+ minutes again to fill the pot back up with ingots, and repeat.
