I have an Ortgies in .32 and .380 - just swap the barrels and use the same magazine. I came across this Ortgies .25 at a decent price, probably because the grips aren't original. Many times, the original grips were pried off and broken (they're held in place with a retention spring/clip inside the mag well. The Ortgies have no screws). Anyways, I reload for .25 and this one is in good shape.

Good score, it's probably a very serviceable piece.

Buddy of mine has one in 32. Great little pocket pistol.

Nice little pistol. I have been nursing the suspicion that the Ortgies may be the Cadillac of vintage .25/6.35 pistols. I would love to have one of those little beasts in my collection.

The replacement grips were a loose fit. Replacement grips are available in plastic and wood, but not cheap. And there's no guarantee of a tight fit with new ones. There's no reason in the world to remove the grips from an Ortgies, except to replace a broken one. There's nothing in the mag well to access. So, a dab of Superglue here, another here, and the grips on the gun now fit perfectly.
I brought the gun to the range with factory ammo. It works fine, but new Wolff springs will make it all better. They should be here today.

.25's are neat little things. That looks like a good one.
