My BIL gave me a beautiful Interarms Mark X Mannlicher stocked rifle. I know it's at least +60 years old & it is in pristine condition. It's a Classic Mauser action design & the action says "Alexandra Virginia - Interarms - Manchester England". Caliber is .30-06. Blueing is 100% & the stock has only a minor dingle or two. I doubt a box or two of shells have ever been put through it.

Is there a website or any way I can tell when it was manufactured via the serial number? Any info about this rifle would be most appreciated.

TIA....

.

Although it's a rarely-found rifle, it's not actually collectible - ergo, a D.O.M. (usually a good idea for collectible/older firearms) doesn't do anything for the value, whereas "condition" does.

I had one that I bought new in the early 1980's.

IIRC, they were only available for a few years..

Here's a background on the rifle's manufacturing: https://www.thefreelibrary.com/Interarms+Mark+X%3A+this+relatively+unknown+Mauser-based+bolt-action...-a0478140770

Thanks pietro for the good info! I feel dumb, but I don't understand what " - ergo, a D.O.M. (usually a good idea for collectible/older firearms) " means(?)

I've an Interarms MK-X in 300 Win Mag. I can't say a thing against it, well made, good blueing, good wood, and accurate as all get out- nothing not to love. Under-rated rifle in my eyes.
