The winds were unbelievable! Thats saying alot beings Kansas is already known as a windy state, second only to Nebraska. It was pretty smokey here in Wichita and hazy from all the dirt in the air. Prayers for all the folks up north in Russell Co. Prayers for all the people ravaged by the storms & tornadoes recently too.

We had that same wind here in south west Iowa. It was later officially identified as a DERECHO. and yes, that smoke from Kansas made it all the way up to here. We could actually smell that smoke INSIDE our house. That was just how powerful those winds were.
