I am looking at using this mold to produce bullets for my M94’s and a 336. Is anyone using it in these lever actions?

I am not planning to hunt deer. One gun will be kept in the family room to deal with coyotes and two legged predators. I have COWW, 92-2-6 alloy and Linotype...think COWW would be the best choice. Will use the HP pins if I get good results. Never run a HP mold.

As the gun may be fired indoors, and noise is a concern, keeping velocity in the 1400-1500 fps range seems wise. I have Red Dot, Green Dot and Unique to work with. GD will not be a powder I plan to stock long term, so loads using RD and Unique are preferred.

Any advice appreciated.

Also, if there is a better bullet you would use, please share your opinion.

Can’t say for lever gun but in my h&r 30-30 it shoots an honest 1" at 75 yards paperpatched and I think the hollow point expands pretty good doing roughly 1500 fps.
Mild load and little recoil ,easy shooter.
100 yard load.

With 3.4 to 4.8 grains of bullseye shoots well too.
They don’t go real fast but I wouldn’t want to be in front of it.
No recoil, loud but not as bad as full noise and no recoil off point of aim so you might be able to crank them out.
Unique will get you there where you want to be pretty comfortably.
Not what you asked but something.

The ness safety bullet could be good if you can get it to work for you.
Big flat point 150 308440? Would punch a nice hole in things

My go-to bullet for plainbased gallery loads is Accurate 31-155D, using 6 grains of Bullseye in the .30--30, 7 grains in the .303 Brit, .30-40 Krag or .308 Win. and 8 grains in the .30-06.

In a SAAMI .30-30 chamber the tapered fore-part engraves upon chambering like Eley Tenex in a Winchester 52. Slight effort needed to close the lever, but unfired rounds will extract without the bullet telescoping or de-bulleting. The 31-171D is the same profile with a .090" GC heel added to the base. A charge of 30 grains of 4895, RL15 or Varget approximates factory jacketed load velocity in the .30-30 and with a 1/2" square of 1/4" thick Dacron quilt batting tucked loosely into the neck to take up free airspace, are good loads in the Krag, .303 Brit, .308 or '06.
