You can actually see the shockwave as the cast bullet travels. Amazing

Why Leupold ever made a Mil reticle with MOA turrets is beyond me. It makes adjustments that much more difficult. This was a fun day shooting. It also just goes to show you don't need a super slow twist to get good accuracy out of a .30 cal rifle at high velocity. It can be done even if others say it can't. The 1:10 twist right here proves it. Thanks for watching the video.

Watching bullet trace is always fun particularly during rapid fire NRA Highpower team matches.

Under very rare conditions you also will get vapor trails. I shot one Highpower match with just the right conditions for vapor trails. They lasted maybe 10 to 15 seconds.

Why Leupold ever made a Mil reticle with MOA turrets is beyond me. It makes adjustments that much more difficult.

It was the '90's, and it was what we had. A full mil is 3.6 MOA or 14.4 quarter minute clicks. If you break each full mil into quarters, you need 3.6 clicks to adjust for that. Since the full mil is 3.6 MOA, that MIGHT be an easy number to burn into the brain housing group.

3.6 (call it 4) clicks for the quarter mil
7.2 (call it 7) for a half mil
10.8 (call it 11) for 3/4 mil
14.4 for the full (Call it 14 for the first full mil of correction, 15 for the second, and 14 for the third, and so on)

The rounding undoubtedly gets kinda half-assed at longer ranges, but it's a handy thing to tape to your stock and should work well to at least 500 for us math cripples.
