Check out First Gunsmithing. No experience with them yet. But their shop looks a lot more legit than most of the others I've seen around here.

And just because they are certified applicators by Cerkote means ONLY that they paid money and went to a class. I've got a guy near me that I've engraved several of his gun. I wouldn't pay him a dime to have one of mine coated by him.

I have used Jeff Forbush in Arnold. He’s done five jobs for me and they’ve turned out nice but they were pretty simple single color jobs and I brought him the parts completely stripped. He’s right next to Top Gun shooting range on the west service road along hwy 55. Give him a call before you head that way. 314-488-4346.

First Gunsmithing quoted me $400 for frame, slide, and barrel. Any extra small parts are $20 each. Seems really high to me but they have the best cerakote applicator in St Louis lol. At that price I’m over 1/2 to a new pistol lol. I’m going to make some more calls.

That's about right, $50 in materials, about 2 to 3 hours of work.

Just got a quote from Jeff at 4 Bush WRS and he’s substantially cheaper. $265 for the entire gun including 2 colors. An extra $65 for disassembly/reassembly. His website shows some impressive work and he seems like a super nice down to earth guy. He’s gonna get my business for sure. Thank you all for the suggestions.

IllinoisCoyoteHunter, I've been following this thread as I have a BHP that I would like to have done. I checked out the 4 Bush WRS site and liked what I saw, I liked the pricing too. Thank you for doing all the work. :)

Like I said earlier, be sure to call ahead before heading that way. His shop is tucked away on the side of the auction house next to Top Gun. A few times I’ve been there to pick up or drop off there has been no one in the front room. They’re all working in the back and can’t see you’re there. If Jeff’s in his office he’ll hear you come in but otherwise you may be waiting a bit until someone notices you. Great guys, just need to come up with a better way to let them know you’re there.

Yeah I spoke with Jeff on the phone for about 20 mins or so. Seems like a good guy. Thanks for the tip on calling before heading over that way. I will get before and after pics. Hopefully I can get over there in the next few weeks. It’s not like I’m busy this time of year… lol
