Use at your own risk. Not responsible for your out come.
I had some 20ga hulls that had split on the mouth and get to the point that could not load them like normal they where 2 3/4 " .
Wanted to see about make more use of them and then came up with 2" shells.
Hulls cut to 2"
Primer 209 Win .Or what you have.
Powder 2400 16grs
Wad WW20 ,cut off 3/8 " off the petals
Shot 5/8 oz.
Overshot card 20ga
Rolled crimp.

Tested and at 20 yards , number 6 shot penetrated in chip board.

Try use 15 grs of 2400 but did not had the power I was looking for and did went into the chip board at 20 yards and also 15.5 grs , found 16 grs worked better.

Just think those that like to try it out . This is what works for me. I used my CZ over and under. For testing.

I’ve done basically same damn thing with good results. I used Win 572 powder and 3/4oz #4 shot. The shells were a touch over 2” and cycled good in the Rem 870.

Here's my trick for getting more life out of a hull. It's about a wrap and a quarter of high strength packaging tape. Only reason I had to do this is I was gifted 300 CCI #157 primers and only had 50 of the 1960's Rem ribbed hulls to fit them. Needed to make them last thru 6 loadings each. Only a hundred more primers to go.
