Welcome to Cast Boolits. The Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook #4 has some loads for the 375 Win with 264 gr cast bullets. Knowing what powders you have on hand would be helpful for getting you pointed you in the right direction. The powders listed are 2400, SR4759, IMR4227 &4198, RL7 and IMR3031. If you have any of these powders, we can give you some data.

Hoping to use RL7 but am open to any suggestions.

Hello Tuco!
I'll second the welcome to Castboolits! There is lots of info here on most anything you might need to know about casting and shooting cast bullets. Others can certainly guide you on loading data. The words of wisdom I have for you since you will be buying bullets is to buy the biggest bullets your rifle will chamber. I have a friend with a Big Bore Winchester 375 and I believe we arrived at the fact his rifle prefers .378" OR .379". Bullets too small for the rifle are a sure recipe for leading and lack of accuracy.
Good Luck,
Rick

375 Winchester RL7 data: The Lyman 4th Cast bullet edition suggests a Start load with RL7 at 25 grains (@1507 fps), Max load shows 32 grains (compressed charge @1762 fps). This is for a 264 grain cast bullet (Lyman mold #375449). The test rifle was a Model 94 Big bore, bullets were sized to .377. As mentioned above, you "might" need to go a little larger diameter. As always, start with the minimum start charge and work up. Best of luck!

Welcome to the forum! Always figured the 375 was a fine cast boolit shooter. Do let us know how it works out!

In my BigBore94: With the Hunters’ Supply 260 grain cast bullet sized at .376 plus a gas check, I have used a number of pistol and rifle powders with good results.

No leading has been observed with the hard cast bullet combined with a gas check.

The best accuracy has been attained by loading the bullet long in 38-55 brass and crimping in the first wax groove rather than in the crimp groove.

The loads that I used are:

Powder/grains/primer/velocity

RedDot 7.50grains Wolf Pistol 1050fps estimated

Trail Boss 8.40grains Wolf Pistol 973fps

Universal 10.00grains Wolf Pistol 1142fps

800X 11.20grains Winchester Large Rifle 1039fps
800X 13.40grains Wolf Pistol 1432fps

BlueDot 15.00grains Wolf Pistol 1410fps

2400 18.00grains Winchester Large Rifle 1537fps

RL-7 24.00grains Winchester Large Rifle 1400 estimated fps

My 375 Winchester is a Marlin, but that shouldn't make much difference. I use RCBS 37-250-FN mold. My alloy for this bullet is 50/50 coww/pure lead, with a little tin thrown in. bullets drop at 263 gr. and I size to .378 and lube with CR. CCI-200 primer and 27.5 gr. Reloader 7. I have not chronied this load but suspect 1575 to 1600 fps. This load is very accurate out of my rifle, five shot groups of 1.5" and less at 100 yards. It is a soft alloy for sure, and I will generally clean bore after shooting 6 or 7 rounds. Works wonderful for a hunting load because so far I've only needed 1 shot per deer, it SLAPS them down with authority. No bullits recovered yet, but I know they work.
