I was wondering if anybody has this mould? One just went on EBay for $152.50!!!!!!
If somebody has one of these moulds. My idea is to get a few samples of the cast bullet, and have Mountain Molds duplicate it.
For $152.50 I can get a real nice custom mould.
IF anybody has one and would sell a few samples ( at the most 100) let me know.
THANKS

I have that mould but don't have any "as cast". The ones I have are sized .314, lubed and have a GC on them. I won't be able to cast any for a couple weeks. If you want some and can wait PM me your address.

It is an excellent bullet for the .32 H&R (that's what it was designed for), the 32-20, the .30 Carbine and most .30.81 cal CFers at velocities up through 1800 fps or so.

AFAIK, Mtn. Molds won't duplicate an existing bullet that you send in to them. They only work from the design software on their web page. I hope I am wrong, since I am almost out of my Oldfeller design boolits for the M95 Steyr. Maybe someone else knows for sure....

I have the #313631 mould, and I think its design could be improved by shrinking the WAY BIG lube groove and adding that length to the front and rear drive bands. Equal lengths to drive bands and lube groove should be more than sufficient, what with the gas check and its "default lube groove" between the check edge and bottom of the rear drive band.

I have a 2 banger 313631, haven't cast much or shot it much yet. Nice design. Al's right on all count of an improved design. Of course then it'd be a light 311316 and you can't go wrong there.

What I thought was interesting is that Smith had a model 631 in 32 Mag and the 631 # was assigned to a mould for the 32 Mag! Means nothing of course, but still odd.
