.30WCF; 1949 production Ser1,653,000 range. Wood and metal are at 98% plus, BUT, this is a very old reblue, I'm certain or as certain as I can be. The muzzle lacks tool marks and there is no blue loss on the hammer face or lever or other typical wear areas. I bought this rifle about 1982 and truthfully never fired it. A magnified inspection of this carbine next to a pre-war shows no sign of any of the lettering being washed out due to overzealous polishing. My Hawkeye shows some very minor bore pitting several inches ahead of the chamber. A dry patch ABSOLUTELY does not hang up AT ALL when passed thru the pitted areas. I'd like $900.00 and freight which I think is fair. Most people could not tell this gun from new and I've endeavored to describe it as accurately as possible.
