I know that there are many many things that have had a negative impact on us in 2021 but the one constant at least in my life is my:

Thank you, Paul, and the same to you. While listening to the news this morning the thought came to me that I am thankful that the USA is the destination, not the origin of refugees. Probably 'cause I heard of the tragedy in the British Channel, smugglers moving refugees to England.

Yes! A fine American tradition!! I am smoking a Turkey though it is 15 deg. this morning. Got a Weber Smokey Mountain 18" on sale at Fleet Farm for $249. It is heated by regular briquettes . Basically like an outdoor oven. Threw in some chunks of applewood. Brined the Turkey overnight. And thank you Lord for family and friends and the bounty of your creation.

Likewise from me and mine. My wife is no longer able to cook, which is a shame in more ways than one. She did, however, order the makings of what should be a fine dinner, and will talk me through sequencing and cooking the stuff so we don't all starve to death this week. I can boil water without burning it, so we should be good! ;) God's blessings and peace to you all this week, and in the future!

As a late friend used to say- "Same to you, and see how you like it!"
I'm very thankful for all His blessings. Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! There are so many things to be thankful for, but for me, being a citizen of and living in this amazing country is (besides family and friends) on the top of the list.

To all those celebrating thanksgiving today, best wishes for a satisfying day of contentment and fellowship, today and all days hereafter! Applies to all other non-Americans as well.

I wish everyone of the Castboolit family a happy Thanksgiving! I hope you had a great great time with friends and family. We did. We had the traditional meal and friends and family at the house. Of course, we had way too much food, but I see a lot of good meals in the future from the leftovers. [smilie=w:[smilie=w:

We are up to our ears in leftovers as well. The smoked Turkey turned out great. Can't wait to do a pork shoulder on it. Going out antique hunting today with the brother and law and his wife ( I look for pewter). We all hit the rack at 9 pm last night with full tummies.
