Okay. I see some of the cool stuff that's 3D printed, especially for the Lee APP.

So,
1. which 3D Printer do I purchase, and
2. what's the best design software, and
3. How much is this going to cost?

Go to the bullet collator thread and ask those guys...lots of experience there

Look at the ender 3 or the ender 3 pro. Creality is the “brand”. I’m not all that tech savvy and figured out how to use a program called cura. YouTube has info on both. The printer is less than $200 I believe. Maybe more now that things are going up in price. Great printer, and a lot of fun to learn to use.

This is good advice. I have not printed anything on the level of bullet feeders, but the Creality Ender 3 Pro has done well for the toolholders and basic stuff I have done.

I have a Creality CR10-version2 with a 300mm by 300mm by 400mm build plate. Why didn't I by an Ender 3? Only one reason.....I didn't want to limit myself size-wise in the future. The Ender 3 has a 220mm by 220mm build plate.

So what can you build with an Ender 3? All of TylerR's Lee APP modifications (his quick caliber change system is what Lee should have done).....Almost All of TylerR's bullet/case feeding parts except for the giant "Mongo" sized stuff which only prints on a 350x350 bed (which I don't have or need), and his almost "Mongo" sized (just right) collator box and plates, that DOES fit on my 300X300 bed. (And in MHO that one is amply big) I've printed that that almost "Mongo" this week....and the first .308 Case collating plate just finished this morning.....I'll post the plate tomorrow night, comparing it to my regular size .308 plate.

So.....an Ender 3 can actually make you plenty pleased until you want to collate 30-06 and bigger brass....and if you have a case collator already from Dillon or Hornady then that's a moot point. For bullet feeder and Ender 3 is just fine........but if you want to print a 2X T-rex you are sol.;)

So what have I printed that you can print on an Ender 3?

And that's just for starters.....

As soon as you can, get an auto leveler for your bed, and buy a polypropylene bed. The sooner you do those two things the sooner you will see most of the problems disappear on 3D printing.
