Looking for any advice on this mold and any advice on reloading for it in 300 BLK. Right now I'm following the advice I read online by heating it to 400 degrees 3 times before I cast also put graphite on all the HP pins I'm doing heating three today.

Tomorrow I'm going to begin casting after work. Looking for any advice. Solid 135gn., 124gn big round, 129 small round with WW alloy. Trying to make a good expanding HP with the lead I have. Mostly range scrap and pure lead. I'm going to be PC these boolits.

Like to hear any advice on loads or just about anything for this Boolite would be great!

Cast last night loaded them up today and took them out. I did not PC these just used the Lee coating on them for the test.

I almost had a mold to sell off used only once. I have not been able to find any load data for this Boolite and since it was shorter than the 130 gr factory rounds I have had to make some adjustments thankfully it did not take much trial and error to get it to shoot. I first made a dummy round and sat it at 2.030 when I chambered the round the bolt did not go all the way in so now right then I was not going to work. After getting the round out I sat it down to 2.025 and had no problems at all feeding or firing shortest Boolite loaded was 2.00.

All feed and fired had no problem at all. Boolite dropped at 135 gr solid, 132 gr small HP, and 129 gr large HP. Did a water jug test with them also and wow these HP shredded the first two water jugs and got caught in number three. The solid round went through 4 jugs but was way less dramatic to see.

Cool to see these HP act like HP sure we all have shot water jugs with JHP and watch how violent of a reaction it has over just the FMJ or solid.

So far very impressed even with accuracy I was hitting my 2/3 IDPA steel target from 125 yards offhand with my 7.5 inches 300 blk. I was thinking could I maybe seat the boolite back more?

Mostly because it is seated below the lube ring.

I use Lil gun behind my jacketed bullets, 125 Nosler BTs.

I use Trailboss or unique behind the 311-410 for subsonic loads.

I really like the MP 311-410, it is one of my favorite boolits.

Do you load for an AR or bolt gun? Also what length do you load yours at?

Both. the subsonic 311-410 are fired in a Howa Mini action 300 blackout. The 125 Noslers i shoot out of both.

I actually have a Rem 700 with a 300 whisper barrel that doesnt get shot as much anymore and another Howa Mini 300 blk barreled action waiting for a Boyds stock.

If you can't tell, i am more of a bolt gun guy than an AR guy. I still like my ARs though, Colt SP1, 6.5 grendel, .223 wylde, 300 blk, and a 6x45 barrel on the way

That's cool I have been looking at a 300 blk bolt gun! I only own a 1903 Springfield bolt gun as of now it was a rescue weapon or let it be cut up.

I know with the bolt gun that you can have a shorter overall length with them. My 300 blk is my little thumper its big brother is an STG-58, not the DSA kind.

I like the 308 a lot have used it in Iraq as a machine gunner and saw what it can do to the flesh! It's not pretty even with FMJ. After doing my water test with 130 gr MP 311-410 HP I will say they tore the first two water jugs up!

We all know or have shot a jug of water with FMJ nothing exciting just make a hole! Yet shot that same jug with a JHP and then that jugs shreds and blows apart almost like a firecracker!

Well these HP do the same thing! I know water jugs are not the same but the same reaction from tested JSP or JHP is the same then it's a good sign.

My opinion anyway!

I will say the most fun I have is with the 300 blk bolt gun I have. Hands down. Ridiculously cheap with little cast pistol boolits and a puff of titegroup or unique.

It's so much fun it is prob illegal in California or new York.
