I'm looking at a Lyman 280468 DC mould. It has an "L" after the mould number.
Looking at my old Ideal cast bullet design poster it says this mould came in two sizes; 105 gr. and 115 gr.
CastPics shows this mould in 109 gr. and 114 gr.

Does the "L" denote that this particular mould will throw the heavier bullet weight?
This is the Loverin style, correct?

I have both the "L" and "S" variations of this mould. Floodgate and I speculated that the L was long and S was short. My L variation actually weights 124 grains and S weights 109 grains, both before sizing, lubing, and gascheck.

You are correct about this being a Loverin design. The weight of the boolit will vary depending on your alloy (mine being wheel weight, Lyman designates by #2), and also how worn the cherry was at the time of cutting.

On my moulds, the L version is newer, as it has factoroy vent lines and is a Lyman mould. My S version is Ideal, and has vent lines the previous owner cut into it.

Everyone loves pictures! Sorry about the quality but my camera has a horrible Macro setting.
