I am looking for a 44 cal mold that cast .433. Do the molds cast a true size.. I have a bunch of hard cast .430 dia. That are worthless in my Henry. Thinking about a molt and melting these down. Any comments. Thanks.

Molds rarely cast exactly to size. Look at Arsenal molds. They have a couple of options for .434" molds. You will probably also need a .432"X.436" expander from NOE as well, or try sizing your brass with a Lee carbide crimp die (without the crimp sleeve).

I will tell you this. I have several molds from Accurate Molds and when Tom says they will cast .002 larger, he is spot on. You must give him the mix you will cast with and I have not had a single one to miss that mark. Email him and he can plumb up your problem. When you go to the "configure a mold" section of his order process, you can specify diameter.

Cast them SOFT -- dead soft/30-1 -- and try them.

One of the biggest disasters to hit cast bullets
has been the fabled 'goodness' of "hard cast"

As stated above, most molds will cast to the size stated IF you use the alloy specified by the mfg (or tell the mfg which alloy you will be using).
