Does this rifle have a decent flintlock?

I am thinking of a gift item for a lady friend so that she has a deer rifle. I wish it were available in .54 caliber for use on elk with patched ball, but maybe the REAL bullet from LEE will get the job done in .50 caliber.

If you lady friend has no experience with muzzleloaders, you may want her to first try out a percussion rifle. I have a friend who has picked up some good deals on this forum.
