What method do you use to trim pre formed bought jackets?

I made 2 things to trim the jackets I make from 22 mag brass.
One is a pilot for a LEE type trimmer and the other is a pinch die.
I have not used the pinch die yet to see how well it works.

Whats the reason for trimming jackets? Is it to uniform them or to change the length .

To change length due to slow twist bbl.

I use my drill press and a end mill. Jacket is held in an inverted Forster collet bullet puller and the lever for the bullet puller is activated by pneumatics. Ejection is also by pneumatics and automatic when collet is opened. Quick at 5 seconds a jacket. Great for making those short 1/2 jackets for .22 Hornet SP or any other jacket of any length.
