Got this little guy about 4:30 this afternoon. Not the biggest but we will eat him. Had him quartered and in the freezer in an hour. Will process him tomorrow.

Lunch was grilled deer steak, sautéed hen of the woods, and grilled sweet potatoes from the garden. If you have never grilled sweet potatoes you are missing out. Slice them 3/8" thick, brush on some oil and grill. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211016/88c0a6766fe8fac1df33d9c44700ceea.jpg

Little fella should be tender,once it gets a little colder I’ll start picking em off at the farm.

Congrats on the fresh venison! I've had sweet potatoes on the grill, but whole, not sliced. Very low coals, don't poke the potatoes, leave them on about two hours, and they just melt.

exactly what sort of Bolt Gun is that?Ravin R10 crossbow. 400 fps. You can't shoot at the same bull on the target or you will hit your previous arrow. Scary accurate.
