I have a automatic pistol cal 7.65 made in spain CA SI with sunburst. My dad got it in the Korea War before He came home. He got it from a guy who owed him $50. I think he was an pilot because my dad was in the Air Forced and a head mechanic on a plane. He left around 1947 I think. I could get my mom to give me the right date he came home. It is black and has a hostler too.687676876868769. Can anyone give me more info on the pistol?

Thanks

The only information I have is a blurb from Hogg and Weeks Pistols of the World, where in it is suggested that this was manufactured by an Eibar company called Grande Precision. They were one of scores of Spanish Gunmakers in the teens and 20's of the 20th century. Grande Precision made several similar pistols in 25 acp/6.35 mm.
The Minerve, The Colonial, and several other guns were made, all variation on the FN Browning 1903, 1906 and 1910 designs. What the significance of the "Ca-Si" marking is remains a mystery. The gun was almost certainly manufactured before 1936 and is chambered for the 32 ACP round. If mechanically sound, you could shoot it, though Spanish metalurgy of that era is questionable. Ezell's book might have a picture in it, but I can't put hand to mine right now.
