Who has a 30 cal hollow point?

I'm wanting info on how big the HP is on your boolit and what type of boolit it is.

I'm looking to HP a 311284 and want some comparisons.

I'm thinking about having the same done to a 311290. I could use the same info. thanks.

I just cast up some 311284 HP the other night. The HP cavities on my bullets measure about .110".

The ones I have done are .110-.125 in Dia and the depth varies on the mould. I moke the nose flat in the process so I have a somewhat decent wall on the nose. .020 -.040 min.

I have a factory Lyman 311041HP and it has a .100" pin on it. The remainder of the .30s that we've HP'd we've done with .100" pins.

With rifle moulds and the associated highter velocity, you don't need a cavity that's too big to get good expansion./beagle
